Join us for a presentation and lively discussion with Chuck Marohn of “Strong Towns” as he describes innovative ways regular people are rebuilding their cities  and neighborhoods from the ground up. Strong Towns is an organization that studies ways for cities and neighborhoods to become financially strong and resilient.

Some of the ideas he’ll cover:
• Take charge of our community’s future with plans that we can design and control.
• Pursue small-scale, low-cost and high value development instead of “mega-projects”.
• Shape a responsible future by using data to determine the real financial impact of projects (and the tax give-a-ways civic leaders push).
• Challenge civic leaders with a new set of questions that will demand a better way to develop the places you love.

This event is part of Baltimore Futures, a speaker series designed to generate dialogue and community involvement in building Baltimore.
